Biography:

Matt has been practicing law since 2005 and represents various businesses and individuals dealing with civil litigation and administrative matters. Client representation in administrative practice principally involves all phases of liquor licensing including simple or complex applications, disciplinary matters, protest hearings and appeals. He represents clients in matters involving various state and federal environmental laws, insurance coverage disputes, personal injury, collections, and contract disputes and negotiations.

Education Matt received his B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from Stanford University in June of 2002. While an undergraduate at Stanford, Matt was a four-year letter winner, two-year starter for the football team including Stanford's 2000 Rose Bowl and 2001 Seattle Bowl teams. Matt received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2005. While in law school, he served as Mediation Coordinator for the Pro Bono Legal Advocates coordinating and conducting mediations in San Diego County's Small Claims Courts with USD law students and the National Conflict Resolution Center.

Outside Interests In his spare time, Matt enjoys sports, travel, the outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends. In 2011, Matt established the Butch Friedrichs Foundation in honor of his brother who passed away from cystic fibrosis. The Butch Friedrichs Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation that helps children and their families living with cystic fibrosis.
