Unrivaled Experience In Administrative Law And Other Areas

William R. Winship Jr. has been practicing law in California for more than 45 years, providing legal representation in litigation matters in California's Superior Courts — including in state administrative agency matters. Bill's practice has included numerous jury trials, arbitrations, mediations, and state business and professional licensing actions.

In civil litigation matters, Bill has represented a wide range of clients, including Safeway Inc., The Vons Companies Inc. and individual and corporate defendants facing claims of negligence, premises liability, assault and battery, and other causes in the course of numerous jury trials.

In his administrative practice, Bill has principally offered legal guidance in all phases of liquor licensing, including complex applications, disciplinary matters, protest hearings and appeals. Currently, he represents numerous hotels, bars, restaurants, markets, stadiums, Indian tribes, and municipal and private licensed enterprises.

Matthew J. Friedrichs has been practicing law since 2005 and represents various businesses and individuals dealing with civil litigation and administrative matters. Matt's administrative practice involves all phases of liquor licensing, including simple or complex applications, disciplinary matters, protest hearings and appeals. He represents clients in matters involving various state and federal environmental laws, insurance coverage disputes, personal injury, collections, and contract disputes and negotiations.

Matt received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2005. While in law school, he served as mediation coordinator for the Pro Bono Legal Advocates coordinating and conducting mediations in San Diego County's small claims courts with University of San Diego's law students and the National Conflict Resolution Center.
